PYRAMID BLOCK. Ball Mastery
PURPOSE. To improve ball control, Touch, Flexibility, Awareness
AGE. U12, U16.
SET UP. Players with a ball each in formation 4 metres apart.
ACTION.
On the Coachʼs signal players…
- Do as many contacts as they can in 30 or 40 seconds.
- Turn 90 degrees pulling with the sole and taking with the inside of the same foot.
- Move forwards and backwards together.
- Step over turn 90 degrees.
- Tap behind the standing leg and turn 90 degrees.
- U turn 180 going up and back.
- Toe Taps, slide turn 180.
COACHʼS TIP.
Start slowly until players have mastered each action. Ask them to stay in formation and not drift . Gradually increase speed,”

Keep eyes up as much as possible and learn to be aware of teammates around you.
